In-Home Services
Services for the family in their new home...
The Dwelling Place has begun a new In-Home Services Program consistent with our movement to encompass Housing First initiatives. The focus of this program is to provide continuing support for clients when they exit the shelter. The primary goal is to promote self-sufficiency and prevent the reoccurrence of homelessness. An innovative feature of In-Home Services is a loan program. The agency provides financial help with rent or utility bills and families are encouraged to pay half the amount back to the shelter to be eligible for further assistance.
Critical Services provided include:
- case management
- weekly contact for three months (periodic contact for up to one year)
- community referrals
- financial assistance
- landlord-tenant education
- financial management education
