Mary Carol Davis & Volunteers provide a day of family fun at Chili's and Regal Movie Theater. After a free lunch the families watched "Horton Hears a Who."

Special Thanks to Volunteers thus far in 2008!

Many outside groups have assisted with property maintenance and repair, special events, and activities for our residents. We extend our deepest appreciation for all volunteers who gave their talent, time, and compassion, enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Our Military Heroes

Both Navy and Marine volunteers have come by in groves to help maintain our homes to include work in our flower beds and painting both the interior and exterior of both houses.

Businesses

CB Richard Ellis made a large donation to the house which has enabled us to rehab all of the baathrooms in the Newport house. Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, & Home Depot have also helped out with discounts that allow us to purchase items to maintain our homes.

Non-Profit & Social Groups

REACH, Norfolk, Tidewater Arts Outreach, Norfolk, Girl Scouts.

Schools

All of our interns make it possible for The Dwelling Place to continue to provide the highest quality of service to our families.

Individuals

Liz Ryder of Food Lion & Women in Leadership helped to make Easter 2008 extra special for our children by donating age specific Easter baskets for our families.
